The Transport Economics Centre is headed by dr. Stane Božičnik and employs two project managers and two researchers. It regularly cooperates with several external partners.
Head of Transport Economics Centre
| dr. TOMISLAV LETNIK | CV: Tomislav Letnik PhD is Head of the Transport Economics Centre, where he has been project manager since 2005. His work involves management of several European and national projects in the field of logistics and transport economics. Among others, he has collaborated on EU projects such as: HYPSTAIR, CO-EFFICIENT, BESTFACT, FUTUREMED, TransNEW, KASSETTS, CASTLE, KOMODA, RECODRIVE, BESTUFS, DIFFERENT, B2B LOCO, TREMOVE, etc. Since 2010 he is also lecturer holding courses of logistics, transport economics, investments decisions and system theory. He holds Bachelor of Science degree in transport engineering and has succesfully concluded postgraduate studies at University of Maribor.

| prof. dr. STANE BOŽIČNIK | CV: Stane Bozicnik PhD is founder of Transport Economics Centre. He has been lecturing at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Architecture since 2000. He currently holds courses in Logistics, Transport Economics and Transport Systems. During his academic career, he has been involved in a number of EU and national research projects in the field of Traffic, Logistics, Economics, International marketing, Ecology, and System theory and practice. | KATJA HANŽIČ Phone: +386 2 22 94 376 | CV: Katja Hanžič is a project manager at University of Maribor, Faculty of Civil Engineering and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Maribor. During her career at University of Maribor she has collaborated on several European projects, e.g. BESTFACT, TransNEW, CASTLE, B2B Loco, RECODRIVE, KOMODA, TRALOTRA. She has coordinated MED project CO-EFFICIENT on project level and coordinated project FUTUREMED and eGUTS on partner level and was actively involved in GRASPINNO and SULPiTER. | MITJA KLEMENČIČ BsC in Transport Engineering Phone.: +386 2 22 94 374 mitja.klemencic@um.si | CV: Mitja Klemenčič is lecturer and research assistant for mobility management and transport technique (Public Transport and Rail operation). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Traffic and Transportation Engineering. He started gaining international experiences already as a student having spent a year at the Technical University of Graz and TU Dresden. He was actively involved in several international projects (ATTAC, PROCEED, Eliptic etc.) and national/local projects (Developmental possibilities for high speed railway in Slovenia, International door to door information system Maribor-Graz, SUMP of Maribor, SUMP of Murska Sobota). He is currently involved in project AlpInnoCT. |

He holds a Master of Science degree in Traffic and Transportation Engineering. He acquired rich experience in numerous international projects: Mutual validity of tickets for public transportation (PHARE – CBC), PORTAL, ALP-NET, REDECON; TREMOVE, MAX; and national projects: Analysis of databases, sources and methodologies for collecting traffic data in Slovenia, Analysis of transport external costs in Slovenia. He is currently involved in activities of project SULPiTER. |
