eGUTS Regional Strategy Platform's first meeting

ELECTRIC, ELECTRONIC AND GREEN URBAN TRANSPORT SYSTEMS

In January 2017 the project Electric and Green Transport Systems - eGUTS was officially launched. eGUTS consortium of 10 partners led by Polytechnic University of Timişoara, Romania is implementing project activities co-financed in 85% from Interreg Danube Transnational Programme.
The eGUTS project is a continuation of the GUTS project and it is oriented towards environmentally friendly and safe transport systems and equal accessibility of urban and rural areas. The project aims to exploit the potentials of electro-mobility, intensify cooperation, exchange of experience and transfer of know-how among relevant actors both on transnational and on regional/national level with strong focus on user needs.
Within the project, the five feasibility studies were prepared:

1. Electric charging stations development in urban areas,
2. Pedelecs vs ecars in urban transport system,
3. Local and Regional eMobility Policy Support,
4. Electro bus involvement into public transport fleets
5. Do-It-Yourself Conversion

At the first eGUTS Regional Platform meeting that took place in Velenje on 12. 12. 2017 UM’s representatives have presented all five eGUTS feasibility studies .
