The 1st CASTLE Forum and Workshop on Logistics Competence Centres (LoCCs) took place on the 28th of September in Maribor, Slovenia. It was aiming at improving local & regional policies in logistics for SME by the exchange and transfer of experiences among EU regions. The event was divided into two main sections: the 1st CASTLE Forum and the Workshop on LoCCs.
The Workshop on LoCCs (in the morning) targeted the goals of logistics institutional consolidation and of supporting policy making in logistics in a public-private cooperation perspective.
The 1st CASTLE Forum (in the afternoon) was dedicated to the presentations and discussion on best practices in the 3 project fields (logistics supply, demand and training) including “train the trainers” activities, which are related to the best practices transfer activities by training the professionals and public officials which support the CASTLE EU regions in developing their logistics policies.
The attendants to the 1st CASTLE Forum and Workshop on Logistics Competence Centres were a mix of trainers, professionals and policy makers dealing with the logistics and economic development fields from Slovenia and from the other CASTLE EU regions.
